Tirujnanasambandhar Swamigal is the incarnation of Paramashiva, the reviver of the Madurai Aadheenam - Shyamalapeetha sarvajnapeetham and the Guru Mudalvar of Madurai aadheenam. Tirujnanasambandha Swamigal incarnated as the son of Shivapada Hridayar and Bhagavathiar in the temple town of Sirkazhi, 2000 years ago. Tirujnanasambandar was born in the holy town of Sirkazhi (Sembai), Tamilnadu, in the Chola empire. He appeared as the son of God, living the path of “sat-putra-margam”.
